Just set up the alarm clock to execute a Cd-Playing software (such as "c:\\mmos2\\cdpm.exe" <make sure to set it on autoplay>, or "play DEV=CDAUDIO". Make sure it's wired to your amplifier with the volume knob turned up more than half way. Does it work? Well, today was the first time in over a month I made it to my 8AM physics class on time.
