Truth in Advertising?

The intersection of Bourke Street and Swanston Walk in Melbourne,
Australia, has been dominated for the past few months by a gigantic
advertisement for Windows 95.

Many regard it as an eyesore but, amidst all the hype, it just could be
one of the more-accurate Microsoft ads.

Right in front of the advertisement is a sculpture of a flying pig!

The pig-with-wings is one of four sculptures in the "Weathervane" series
by Melbourne sculptor, Daniel Jenkins. It represents "hope for the
future" but Jenkins admits it might be a forlorn hope of the "I'll
believe it when I see it" variety.

So you can interpret the accidental juxtaposition however you wish - "if
Windows 95 is a real operating system then pigs might fly" or "a pig of
an operating system CAN fly as long as it has at least 16 MBytes of RAM
and a 100 MHz Pentium" and so on ...

The image has been posted to alt.binaries.pictures.misc and is also
available in several versions/formats at:
